Arizona rapper Futuristic started rapping at the age of 6, and he has been working ever since on his craft. During an interview with VladTV, Futuristic explained that his hard work building his fan base in his home state paid off, as he was outselling opening acts like Mac Miller and MGK during his early years.

While Arizona isn’t known as a hip-hop haven, Futuristic said that he had done his part to help build it up by starting a showcase that has given local talent a platform.

To hear more of what Futuristic had to say, including how he lost money on his first few tours, hit the above clip.
