Rising global KPOP sensation KATSEYE continues their meteoric rise, taking center stage as part of Vevo’s highly-anticipated ‘DSCVR Artists to Watch 2025’ campaign. Their live performance of “Touch,” a standout track from their debut EP, underscores why they’re among Vevo’s top picks to break into the mainstream.
Now in its eleventh year, Vevo’s ‘DSCVR Artists to Watch’ series is renowned for showcasing emerging talent poised for global stardom. Selected from over 600 submissions, this year’s roster features a curated group of artists from across the globe. Each honoree receives unparalleled exposure, including high-quality live performance videos and marketing across Vevo’s expansive network.
For KATSEYE, being a DSCVR artist is an opportunity to prove what we’ve got. We pour out our passions into our music and performances; DSCVR has become a space to make it known to the world.”
KATSEYE: Redefining Global Pop
KATSEYE is no ordinary girl group. As the first global collective shaped by KPOP artist development techniques, they boast an international lineup of six members: Daniela (USA), Lara (USA), Manon (Switzerland), Megan (USA), Sophia (Philippines), and Yoonchae (South Korea). United by their diverse backgrounds and shared ambition, KATSEYE represents a bold new era in pop music.
The group’s journey began with The Debut: Dream Academy, a competitive program developed by HYBE and GEFFEN, which whittled down 120,000 global submissions to just six standout talents. Their official debut single, aptly titled “Debut,” launched in June, setting the tone for their career. This was followed by the heartfelt single “Touch” in July, showcasing the group’s softer side and winning fans worldwide.
Their whirlwind debut year has been packed with highlights, including their first-ever live performances at KCON, a national TV debut on Good Morning America, and the release of their EP, SIS (Soft Is Strong), in August. Adding to the excitement, KATSEYE’s journey was chronicled in the Netflix documentary series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, which premiered on August 21.
Vevo’s Vision for 2025
As music continues to become more and more universal, highlighting KATSEYE in this year’s class was a no-brainer. These women are the embodiment of a global girl group created by a K-Pop strategy rooted in self-discipline and undeniable work ethic. Their debut project, SIS, has something for everyone—from girl power anthems to vulnerable tracks highlighting full-group harmonies. KATSEYE wouldn’t be KATSEYE without all six members, and we’re so excited to see what 2025 has in store for them.
