James Stokes more commonly known as J Da Proph3t is a Chicago born artist with music as unique as his life experiences. In 2014 J faced his toughest obstacle, being falsely accused of murder charges that led to three years of imprisonment. During that time J used music as an outlet that helped get him through his most challenging times!
Lyrically exuding both love and pain, emotions that remain consistent throughout his music, J has now released his latest single “Sky Walking”! Now liberated of false charges J Da Proph3t has more purpose than ever expanding beyond his drive to succeed for himself, but to also succeed to be in a position to help those that come up behind him.
“Sky Walking” is a breathe of fresh air for any listener! The song embodies both ambient and dark sounds with lively up tempo acoustics, filled with lyrics of love, pain, and overcoming! His music speaks for itself in a form of story telling that is the all too relatable.
