Becky G – “2 AM” (Vevo)

Becky G kicks off a new Vevo live performance series with “2AM,” bringing the intimate world of Baraja Bendita to life.

Becky G is giving fans a new way to experience her album Baraja Bendita with the release of an intimate Vevo Official Live Performance for “2AM.” The performance marks the first instalment in a new series of visuals arriving over the coming weeks, with each release designed to capture a different side of the album.

Vevo’s Official Live Performance franchise has become known for creating highly produced, artist-driven visual experiences. Rather than simply recreating a song on a stage, the platform works closely with artists and their creative teams to build environments that reflect the personality and themes of their music. For Becky G, that approach gives Baraja Bendita an entirely new visual dimension.

“2AM” immediately establishes a more intimate mood. The performance opens with Becky G’s silhouette appearing through a foliage-covered wrought iron gate before she enters a peach-coloured room surrounded by flowing white curtains. She settles beside a vintage dark wood dresser as the camera slowly moves around the space, allowing the setting to become part of the performance.

There is a sense of mystery throughout the visual. Viewers are given glimpses of the larger environment without ever seeing the entire picture, creating the feeling of stepping into a private retreat with Becky. The understated production allows her vocals and presence to remain the focus while the room adds another layer to the song’s atmosphere.

Becky G says the different songs on Baraja Bendita allowed her to explore a variety of emotions throughout the filming process.

“Each song on Baraja Bendita really evokes a different kind of emotion, and I was able to channel that for each video in this project. I enjoyed expressing myself and transforming the space into something new for each song. I can’t wait for fans to experience it in this new and unique way,” says Becky G.

The “2AM” performance is only the beginning. According to Vevo, each upcoming instalment will introduce its own visual identity, with different approaches to choreography, lighting, energy, and production. The series will ultimately lead into a short film that brings the wider Baraja Bendita concept together.

That idea fits naturally with the album’s title and imagery. Like a shuffled deck revealing an unexpected card, each performance is intended to offer something different. Fans can expect the upcoming videos to explore new corners of Becky G’s creative world rather than simply repeat the same visual formula.

Becky G and Vevo have collaborated before, including a Vevo Footnotes feature in which the singer discussed the creation, lyrics, and meaning behind some of her biggest songs, including “Bailé Con Mi Ex.” Their latest collaboration takes that relationship a step further by putting Becky directly inside a visual world built around her music.

JP Evangelista, EVP of Content, Programming and Marketing at Vevo, praised the collaboration and the artist’s ability to connect culture and genre through her work.

“We’re excited to have worked with Becky G, a trailblazing artist that not only brought so much passion to our shoot, but seamlessly blends genres and culture to empower her community and transform Latin music. Intimate and vulnerable, her performance makes you feel like a guest within Becky’s home,” says Evangelista.

With “2AM,” Becky G opens the door to a larger visual experience surrounding Baraja Bendita. If this first performance is any indication, the upcoming releases will offer plenty of surprises as the full series unfolds.
